Introduction

The End-Of-Beam-Party is generally held at the very end of a beam time cycle. It is supposed to make the participants aware that the beam is over and with it also all the strenuous and physically demanding day and night shifts, 12- and 24 hour shifts, the watching of little numbers on screens and the being sucked back into reality by the little beep from the faulting accelerator. The party also serves as a means of social interconnect to help bound the group more tightly together in order to get further work done more efficiently and in a more joint-strike up-the-ante blow-them-away manner.

Tradition

Traditionally solemnized in the temple of stone in the vally of mills.
